One of my favorite bead shops and charities is Somanya. This shop features handmade beads from the Krobo region of Ghana. Each bead is made using ancient methods and is hand painted. I love these beads for their individuality, rustic shapes, beautiful colors, and interesting designs.
This necklace features bright, primary colored Krobo beads that have red bamboo chips between the beads. An old oxidized copper bell is centered on a handmade antiqued copper coil for added interest. Two red glass Krobo beads that are hand wrapped with copper wire hang off-center for a little added pizzazz. A handmade antiqued copper clasp completes this piece.
Wire guards are used to protect the copper wire at the clasp and crimp beads covers are used over the crimps to provide a finished look.
The necklace has a 10" front drop, including the bell. The bright colors add a boost to any outfit and look fabulous with denim!
My shop is an eclectic collection of jewelry and decorative items made with semi-precious gemstones, polymer clay, loom woven pieces, and mixed media.
Browse through my collections at your leisure and enjoy your journey! Special orders are welcomed and modification to existing pieces is available.
